I graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan in July, 1988 and had Internship/housemanship training at Baptist Hospital, Saki, Oyo State, from July 1988-November 1989. I served in the National Youth Service Corps in Sokoto State in the1989/1990 Service year. Thereafter, I worked at Specialist Hospital Sokoto in 1991 before going to work in the private sector. I ran my rural private clinic in Wasagu, Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State from 1992 to 2001. In 2001 I was employed as a Lecturer in Community Medicine at Ambrose Alli University, College of Medicine and at the same time was a Supra-Numerary Resident Doctor in Community Medicine at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Nigeria. In 2007, I was employed by the ENHANSE Project (USAID) as a Consultant in Monitoring and Evaluation and embedded in NASCP, Federal Ministry of Health. In November, 2007, I joined the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) as an Assistant Registrar II and left the MDCN in October 2020 as a Deputy Registrar and Head of the Department of Planning, Research and Statistics. I established my rural private hospital, Nakowa Hospital, Bassa, in Kokona Local Government area of Nasarawa State in October 2020 and I am still practicing in the Hospital as Chief Medical Director, till date.
