Senior Quantity Surveyor involved in managing and delivering a variety of construction projects successfully by ensuring value for money for clients and optimizing cost for contractor. Also part of the Integrated Project Management team involved in delivering different projects including commercial, health, educational, and infrastructural projects up to the tune of $5M on tight timescales from inception to handover. Specific duties and responsibilities performed included: • Taking off and preparing bills of quantities and materials schedule. • Preparing unit rates and pricing tender documents. • Preparing periodic valuations for payments, variations, and final accounts for projects. • Preparing cost value reports and cash flow statements for management. • Procuring subcontract works/services and drafting contract agreements. • Reviewing and approving subcontract work packages and invoices. • Reviewing and approving site requisitions for materials. • Site inspection, measurements, and tracking changes/variations in projects. • Carrying out inspections and monitoring to ensure adherence to contract. • Attending site meetings and preparing internal and external reports. • Coordinating project activities with clients, communities, agencies, etc • Developing client’s brief/requirements for construction projects. • Coordinating the preparation of as built drawings, documentation, and manuals for project handover.

• Preparing Bills of Quantities and estimates. • Preparing interim valuations and final payment certificates for contractors. • Attending tender meetings and assisting in the evaluation of tenders. • Site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality construction works. • Technical and progress report writing.
