Position : Finance and Accounting AdminstratorThe Finance and Accounting Administrator will support the executive team in undertaking administrative, financial and accounting tasks of the business.

Responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting information.
This role will involve working closely with staff across the organisation, including Administration, PAYGO and Sales. Whilst the position may be entry-level, the candidate will be required to have a strong level of numeracy and willingness to proactively learn and develop the role. Smiling Through Light (STL) is developing and growing, as such, the candidate will have an opportunity to expand both their own capabilities, as well as to shape those of the STL.
Key tasks:
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting activities, under the guidance and supervision of the Directors
- Assist and support the Directors in compiling and completing the annual accounts, including support with the preparation of reports as required
- Track and update the different software systems (e.g. Tracker and PaygOps) with sales orders, delivery, and payment details
- Maintain filing and record keeping, updating records as necessary
- Monitor sales orders to ensure all orders are processed efficiently
- Monitoring and analysing accounting data and producing basic financial reports or statements
- Work with the Directors to monitor and analyse accounting data and produce develop and complete indicative financial reporting/ management accounts on a regular basis
- Enforce accounting methods, policies and principles
- Liaise with external accountancy resources to compile and develop management/annual accounts with Bookkeeping activities (e.g. providing the accountant with bookkeeping/transaction history)
- Be involved in the daily operations of the accounting functions of STL, supporting the Directors with core accounting and finance processes
- Proactively provide recommendations and where competencies allow, improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Maintain a high standard and accuracy of data and information provision
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Manage product PAYGO sales monitoring and reporting processes and procedures
Required profile for job ad : Finance and Accounting Adminstrator Experience/Qualifications:
- Accounting experience, qualifications and/or training
- An interest in international development or Gender-related issues
- At least 2 years of office work experience (preferred)
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and use of email, internet
Key competencies:

- Ability to assimilate a large amount of information
- Good report-writing skills
- Outstanding organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
