Position : ATAF Women in Tax Network (AWITN) OfficerWe recruit an individual consultant who will serve as ATAF Women in Tax Network Officer.
Tasks and Expected Deliverables :
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the AWITN project/programme.
- Manage projects/programmes through project plans, engage relevant teams, coordinate and deliver project/programme framework.
- Coordinate AWITN activities.
- Coordinate the completion of activities, gathering project data and reporting project issues.
- Coordinate delivery of activities by communicating requirements.
- Manage the day-to-day activities and delivery of the AWITN work programme
Financial Coordination
- Coordinate project expenditure by tracking spending against budget and addressing any budget variances and providing feedback as required.
- Develop reports on specific funding for AWITN activities
- Develop concept papers for funding purposes
Service Provider Coordination
- Draft requirements and specification for service provider/supplier sourcing, complying with ATAF procurement policy and procedures.
- Monitor service provider performance requirements and scope.
- Coordinate AWITN service provider contracts and follow-up to ensure that contracts are accurately implemented.
Research
- Conduct research on tax and gender
- Develop policy and information papers
AWITN Board and Advisory Group
- Manage the communication with the board and advisory group
- Prepare all governance documents for AWITN
- Develop and maintain a regular communication with the board and advisory group
Membership
- Maintain current membership and recruit new members
Marketing and Communication
- Develop and implement a marketing and communication plan for AWITN
- Draft newsletters
- Maintain the AWITN website
Required profile for job ad : ATAF Women in Tax Network (AWITN) Officer Qualification
- A degree in management, gender studies or similar obtained from recognized universities. Having a master’s degree would be an added advantage.
- 3-5 years of working experience in gender projects or research, Project/Programme management and managing large-scale projects and programmes.
- Written and spoken French/Portuguese languages.
- Experience in programmes dealing with women empowerment/development on an international scale
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy
- Verbal and Written Communication
- Ability to communicate in Portuguese, Arabic and / or French is an advantage
- Interpersonal skills
The assignment is expected to start on 01 June 2023 and end on 31 May 2024.
